The new year is upon us…
Quick jump backwards:
Towards the end of 2008, my fiance and I decided to pack up our lives (and two children) and relocate from sunny Florida to the freezing cold of New Hampshire. Have we lost our minds? Maybe. The moving date has not been set in stone. We do know that the end of February or beginning of March is an approximation. One of our New Year’s resolutions was to make a change for the better and while we may be going into snow and ice, it’s a positive change.
Fast forward:
We’ve found a home out in the middle of no where that sits on 11 acres of land. B-E-A-utiful! Chris’ mom is going to check it out in person for us this weekend. The landlord won’t rent to us with our dogs (two blue pitbulls). We’ve made the decision to get rid of the dogs. It’s heartbreaking, but we have to do what we have to do. I’ve already made calls to the utility companies trying to get an idea of what this is going to cost us.
Yesterday, we began to pack. I’ve lived in Florida my entire life and I’ve been in this house for almost 7 years. Putting my life into boxes… wow!
More to come!
